Happy Saturday! Hope your weekend is going great so far!
First of all, today officially marks my third full week since I moved to Chicago. And I have to admit that social wise I have been doing pretty well. Adjust your seat because I am going to tell you a little secret. So, before moving I did my researches and followed Chicago's top boutiques, bloggers, stylists, designers, event planners, and different people in my field on instagram so I can be in the know of things that are happening around the city. I love Instagram! It is very responsive and a great way to find things out and connect with others. I probably use it more than any other social media tools. I may even be addicted!!!
Anyways, so I recently attended a Sip+Chat event with my new friend Chiquita who is also a stylist and blogger ( Check her out here http://www.allineedisonemic.com) The event was held at Charlatan (1329 W Chicago Ave) which is a new trendy restaurant rated top 10 by Chicago Magazine located in West Town that specializes in modern Italian cuisine with locally sourced products, decked with a full bar featuring hand-crafted cocktails, and an Italian and American wine list.
As soon as we arrived, we were promptly greeted by a lovely hostess, followed by Rich the manager who took great care of us all night. We got to try some of the restaurant's best appetizers & dishes, we even had a pig's head. Yes! you heard that right, but I didn't have any because I was so full by the time it came out but trust me it looked so tasty, and the girls seemed to enjoy it. I must admit it was quiet hard to pick a favorite dish from everything we tried but If I were to pick one, I would go with the Squid pasta which was exquisite.
I definitely recommend you to check out Charlatan if you are in the Chicago area/visiting and are looking for some delicious and healthy food at an affordable price. The spot was very nice, cozy, and even romantic I would add. I loved the energy in there and the whole atmosphere. The event was a great turn out, we ate, we drank, we chatted, we exchanged info, as well as blogging and photography tips. I met some new super awesome bloggers and overall I had a blast at the event. I wanna thank Lena of Felinecreatures again for inviting me after just meeting me on the street, it sounds crazy but it happened and I am very thankful for it. You are probably wondering what all this fuss is about by now so go ahead and peek below for the pics of some of the attendees and the delicious food for yourself! ENJOY 🙂
The Highlight of the night! Everybody wanted a shot of the Pig's head. You can't blame them!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!
Til the next adventure 🙂
