Life can get so busy, and as we try to make sense of it all, we often forget to take the time to simply breathe, relax, and recharge. Whether it’s by yourself, with your partner, or with your tribe. I am here to remind you that you don’t always have to go far when planning a mini getaway.
Sometimes all we need is just around us, and this is why I love the idea of a #STAYCATION: it requires less planning, it’s less stress, hassle free, saves you from all the unnecessary headaches so you can have plenty of time to focus on yourself and indulge! In addition, I also find it a great fun way to discover more spots in your own city and what it has offer. As you may or may not know, I am all about supporting local!
Recently, along with three other amazing Milwaukee Fashion Bloggers, I had the privilege to have a #STAYCATION at the Pfister Hotel , which is one of the midwest’s premier luxury hotel located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.
Working a job which requires me to be on site at all times at non traditional hours, I was really looking forward to the little time I had off to unwind with the girls.
As soon as we arrived at the hotel I felt right at home, we had the warmest welcome from the hotel’s staff, kindly helping us, and escorting us to our respective rooms. I was immediately drawn in by the hotel’s unique charm and elegance. We walked through the regal atmosphere of the lobby to our lavish rooms on the 22nd floor of their newly renovated building with a spectacular view of the city landscape and Lake Michigan within our sight.
With lots of natural light coming from the beautiful windows adorned with nice heavy draping, the room includes a nice King-sized bed, a distinctive mix of old and contemporary furnitures bringing that old sophistication and a touch of modern luxury. Without forgetting the lovely marble bathroom with a separate walk-in shower, and vanity. Since we live in a digital age and are clearly bloggers, we enjoyed the easy accessibility to high speed internet the hotel had to offer and the best of all: the 24hr Room Service .
As we all comfortably felt right at home thanks to the hotel’s fabulous hospitality. We quickly settled in and began checking out all that the Pfister Hotel has to offer starting with a quick trip to their pool to get our feet wet and have a little taste of summer since technically it was 30 degrees outside but it sure didn’t feel that way inside the heated pool area that came with an incredible view of the city and Lake Michigan, located on the 23rd floor of the prestigious hotel.
After our playtime, we freshened up then checked out their exclusive club room also located on the 23rd floor again, with an amazing view and filled with snacks, refreshments, and a cozy fire place to hangout . We cheered to a good time as we were clearly having a blast before heading down to dinner.
Later that evening we enjoyed a nice dinner at Mason Street Grill (Located in the hotel’s lobby) The food was extremely delicious, especially the BBQ Gulf Shrimp which was very well seasoned and prepared to perfection, definitely a must-try!
Followed by cocktails at the hotel’s very own lounge Blu Bar and Lounge located on the 23rd floor with a breathtaking view of the city all of this without having to leave the hotel even once! (Hint #STAYCATION)
The next day, after sleeping in like a baby in one of the coziest beds, I was woken up with the yummiest breakfast in bed to give me all the energy I needed for another fun-filled day which comprised of a Spa visit at the hotel’s Well Spa + Salon. YES! The hotel also has a Spa in Lower level!
What a great way to escape, reenergize, and relax in my own city with the best group of girls, making this experience even more exciting and memorable.
Thank you to the charming Pfister Hotel for having us.
Don’t think twice! I hope you plan your next #STAYCATION with them soon.
Life is short, remember to always take some time for yourself!
And Thank You for visiting today!
til next time,
